Message January 2003 we had a major wind storm here in the greater Seattle area. Strong enough to down trees rip roofs of old garages etc. Well, I have several Cottonwood trees in my yard that will drop branches if I sneeze outside so I parked both of my cars on the street in front of my neighbor's house when i got home from work, bear in mind it's 10:00PM and pitch black out.

Well, turns out I parked my MR2 right in front of the neighbor's unsecured basketball hoop (cement mounted in old tire. Guess what? Wind blows hoop onto my car, breaking the windshield and scratching the SH*T out of my hood fender and bumper. $2200 in damages later I show him the estimate and ask him to pay (I did ask my insurance agent if they were at fault, he said negligent on their part for having an unsecured hoop in an area that could damage something parked in a public right of way.) He says to me the next day that his insurance will not cover an "act of God" so sue me.

So, after consulting my lawyer to verify if what my insurance agent told me was true, I have my lawyer send him a letter demanding payment. Guess what this time? After my giving the neighbor the estimate, he consulted his lawyer who promptly told him to declare bankruptcy.

Now, I have to submit this claim against my own insurance and hope that they do not penalize me and raise my rates.

I'm tired of so called "good Christians" being sh*ty and by good Christians I mean that these people have "Christ counseling" meetings at their house every Monday.

That is all.

The question I always like to ask people that perplex me is "What's it like being as stupid as you?" Albinonewt-From the Automag.org forum
